Discover the charm of old Fiji

ENERGY: Naigani Resort is implementing a pilot programme to transition from diesel generated power to renewable energy sources. Phase 1 of the project involves installing inverters and deep cycle batteries to enable a reduction of generator operation hours. Phase 2 will involve the replacement of electric water heaters with solar hot water systems. Phase 3 will add new renewable energy sources including wind turbines and solar PV panels. Bio-gas will also be added at a later stage.

WATER: Naigani is blessed with natural spring water suitable for washing and bathing. Small scale desalination will be added to supplement  this water source. Rainwater is trapped for drinking, and atmospheric water generators (air-to-water machines) are planned for installation around the resort. Waste water is captured via the resort's septic tank system, processed and eventually returned to ground off-site.

WASTE: Recyclable materials (bottles, plastic etc) are collected and transported off-island for recycling. Bio-degradeable garbage is buried off-site.
